My name is George, and OutbackX was born from a lifetime obsession with Land Rovers that started on a family farm in Herefordshire, UK.

I learnt to drive in a Series 3—there's something about that first experience behind the wheel of a Land Rover that never leaves you. Growing up on a farm, I saw these vehicles as more than just transport; they were tools, companions, and the backbone of rural life.

Over the years, I've owned a Series 3 109 and a Defender 300TDI 110 from 1995. Each one taught me something different about what these vehicles could do and what they needed to be truly expedition-ready.

My passion for expedition Rovers runs deep. There's nothing quite like the feeling of being completely self-sufficient in the middle of nowhere, knowing your vehicle and gear won't let you down. But I kept running into the same problem—off-the-shelf storage solutions were either flimsy, ill-fitting, or completely missed the point of what these vehicles are about.
